For Candidates

Candidate Questions

Everything candidates need to know about applying, our process, and what to expect at every stage.

No. Absolutely zero cost to candidates -- no exceptions, at any stage.

Eduplace Recruitment is a free service for all candidates. You will never be charged a placement fee, application fee, or any hidden cost. This applies to all three of our practice areas -- Education, Hospitality, and Retail -- across every region we serve.

Visit our Submit Your Resume page to create a profile with Eduplace Recruitment. You will be asked to provide your qualifications, experience, and preferences. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by a sector specialist.

We recruit across three specialist practice areas:

  • Education -- Our core practice since 1994. International schools, K-12, IB programmes, curriculum leadership, SEND, and more.
  • Hospitality -- Hotels, resorts, food & beverage, and guest services management.
  • Retail -- Store management, regional operations, merchandising, and brand leadership.

We actively place candidates in the following regions:

  • United States
  • GCC -- UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain
  • Canada
  • United Kingdom

Our longest-established presence is in GCC education recruitment, with deep institutional relationships across the region.

All applications are reviewed within 3 business days by a human specialist -- not an algorithm. Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. If your profile matches a current or future opening, we will reach out directly.

If there is no immediate match, your details will be kept on file, and you will be notified if a suitable position becomes available.

Every application is reviewed by a sector specialist -- not an algorithm, not automated screening software, and not a keyword scanner. We assess qualifications, career trajectory, sector fit, and mobility together in context.

This is a non-negotiable part of our operating model. Human review is what makes our shortlists meaningful.

Our education practice covers a wide range of roles within international and independent schools, including:

  • Head of School / Principal
  • Classroom Teachers (all subjects, K-12)
  • Curriculum Directors
  • IB Coordinators (PYP, MYP, DP)
  • SEND / Learning Support Specialists
  • Department Heads
  • Academic Counselors
  • Early Years / Foundation Stage Leaders

We recruit throughout the year -- there is no fixed application window.

Yes. If your experience spans more than one of our practice areas, you are welcome to apply for roles across Education, Hospitality, and Retail. Each application will be reviewed by the relevant sector specialist independently.

Friends and colleagues can both apply, though we cannot guarantee placement at the same institution. Each application is assessed independently on its own merits. We will do our best to accommodate requests for co-placement, but final decisions depend on employer requirements and availability.

Yes, you may begin the application process before graduation. However, any job offers will be contingent on you having your degree in your possession or proof of graduation at the time of placement.

The process follows a clear sequence:

  • Profile creation -- Submit your resume and qualifications through our application page.
  • Pre-interview -- You will be invited to an interview, either in person or online.
  • Verification -- Our third-party agents verify employment history, educational credentials, and background information.
  • Shortlisting -- Once verified, your details are forwarded to prospective employers who match your profile.
  • Placement -- We coordinate interviews, support offer management, and assist through onboarding.
For Employers

Employer Questions

How our engagement model works, from brief submission to curated shortlist delivery and beyond.

Visit our Employer Solutions page to submit a recruitment brief. You can outline your requirements, and our team will respond within one business day to confirm scope and begin the search.

Our end-to-end process follows five stages:

  • Brief -- We work with you to define the role, requirements, and culture fit.
  • Candidate vetting -- Sector specialists assess and verify candidates against your specific brief.
  • Curated shortlist -- A focused shortlist of pre-vetted candidates, not a volume dump of resumes.
  • Interview coordination -- We manage scheduling, communication, and feedback between parties.
  • Placement & onboarding -- We remain engaged through contract execution and onboarding support.

Typically within 5-10 business days of brief confirmation. Timelines depend on role complexity, seniority, and geographic requirements. Senior leadership searches may take longer to ensure depth of candidate quality.

Both models are available. We offer retained search for senior and executive-level positions where dedicated resource allocation is required, and contingency search for roles where speed and flexibility are the priority. We will recommend the model that best fits your needs during the brief confirmation process.

Four things differentiate our model:

  • 30+ years of sector expertise -- Founded in 1994, with deep institutional knowledge in international education and expanding practices in Hospitality and Retail.
  • Human assessment -- Every application is reviewed by a sector specialist. No automated filtering, no keyword scanners.
  • Curated shortlists -- We do not send large volumes of unqualified resumes. Every candidate on your shortlist has been pre-vetted against your specific brief.
  • End-to-end engagement -- We remain involved from brief through to placement confirmation and onboarding.
Qualifications & Requirements

Qualifications

What you need to be eligible for positions through Eduplace Recruitment.

Most positions through Eduplace Recruitment require a completed undergraduate degree from an accredited or recognized university. Requirements vary by role and region, so we encourage you to apply even if you are unsure -- your application will be reviewed in context.

To teach in the GCC region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain), candidates typically require:

  • An educational degree in your teaching subject or education
  • A valid teaching license or certification
  • At least 1-2 years of full-time teaching experience

Requirements can vary by school and country. Exceptions are made depending on the circumstances -- many factors play a role.

For most GCC positions, you will need:

  • Educational degree (original or attested copy)
  • Valid passport
  • Valid police clearance certificate
  • Teaching license or certification
  • Work experience letter
  • Two reference letters (not older than 3 years)

Our team will guide you through the specific documentation requirements for your placement country.

You are still welcome to apply and complete the process. We will keep your details on file, and if a position that matches your skill set becomes available, you will be notified. Our recruitment is ongoing throughout the year.

Most countries will require a general health check before you can be issued a work visa. Specific requirements depend on the destination country and its immigration policies. We will advise you on exactly what is needed for your placement.

Logistics & Travel

Visas, Airfare, Housing & Benefits

Practical answers about relocation, visa procedures, accommodation, and salary expectations.

A work visa is required prior to your departure. Eduplace Recruitment will assist you through the visa application process. If you successfully obtain a teaching position with one of our client institutions, they will initiate the employment visa process on your behalf.

The teacher is responsible for costs associated with obtaining a work visa in their home country (e.g., police clearance, document attestation). All other expenses related to the work visa in the host country are borne by the employer.

Airfare is typically included as part of the Middle Eastern employment package. In some cases, clients may require candidates to pay for flights initially due to administrative factors, but you will be reimbursed. You can generally choose your departure city, though alternative airports may be suggested based on availability.

Yes. For international placements, the school or employer will send a representative to meet you at the airport upon arrival.

Many international schools provide furnished accommodation or offer a housing allowance. If shared accommodation is provided, you will have your own room but may share common areas (kitchen, living room, bathroom) with another foreign teacher. Housing specifics depend on availability and what the employer can offer.

Salaries vary by school, country, and role. They are determined by educational qualifications and work experience. Many international institution packages include some or all of the following:

  • Round-trip airfare
  • Paid national holidays
  • Furnished accommodation or housing allowance
  • Health benefits
  • Contract completion bonus

Vacation time and sick leave policies vary by employer and host country standards.

Yes. Before you start your role abroad, Eduplace Recruitment will ensure you are well prepared for your move. This includes practical guidance on your destination country and assistance in connecting with other teachers who have made similar transitions.
