A lot of times, when people have tattoos that work inside the public, such as corporate jobs, they are looked at as not trustworthy, lazy, and of course the list goes on. A lot of people's opinions and perspectives differ upon location. Tattoos in general have always represented a tougher exterior, having an “I don't care about society” type of attitude. That's just how most people with tattoos are perceived, but there is a sub-branch which ties off into that. You may see one person with a tattoo that has only one common tattoo — a memorial of his father on the upper arm. A lot of perception is based upon how heavily the person is tattooed and what the individual tattoos state. There have been studies calculated upon teachers and professional instructors; when students find out that their instructors have a couple tattoos, studies show that it will usually bring a connection between student and teacher. Why is this? Well, it's because the student feels more contented with the teacher — kind of like the teacher is on their side.
Understanding the Connection of Teacher and Student Via Tattoos
When we go to school, we want there to be a great connection between student and teacher because this will enable the student to learn better and truly pay better attention. When kids feel as though an adult is more on their level, they tend to learn at a more advanced level, and quite easily really — that's just how the human brain generally works. When we feel as though someone gets us and understands where we come from, it's always so much easier to learn and connect with whomever that is.
Yes, not all students have tattoos, and most high schoolers don't, but what teenager doesn't want a tattoo? When teachers have tattoos, as silly as it may seem, that small characteristic tends to work as a link in making a student pay attention and remember important data because it's rare, taboo and exciting. Students tend to lock up and feel more intimidated around instructors who wear structured five-piece suits.
